Turkey has a history of miniature paintings, so it makes sense that Turkish artist Hasan Kale would be interested in miniatures, but these paintings are reeeaally tiny and they’re on food! His tiny paintings are on peanuts, candy, pieces of chocolate, the skin of an onion, pumpkin seeds, and a grain of rice! Hasan also paints on other objects but this being a foodie blog, we’re here for the food 😉
Here’s some of the Turkish artist’s amazing art on food..
Tiny painting of a fish on a grain of rice!
Here’s baby Jesus on a piece of pasta.
Mosques of Istanbul on a piece of milk and white chocolate.. yum!
Sultan from the Ottoman Empire, Osman Gazi portrait on a bean!
Here’s another view of the Turkish city of Istanbul, this time on a peanut shell!
You can see more of the miniature paintings on food items by Hasan Kale at the artist’s facebook page here. His descriptions are in Turkish but you don’t need to know what he’s saying to appreciate his amazing artwork! I wonder if Hasan would approve of my Sultan’s Delight recipe?! 😉
