Tartare sauce is an absolute must to have with fried seafood and chips.

Ingredients
  • 1 Cup of Mayonnaise (If you don't make your own, buy the best quality whole-egg mayonnaise you can find)
  • 1 tablespoon Capers finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons Gherkins finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh Flat leaf Italian Parsley finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Spring Onions (Scallions) finely diced
  • Splash of Lemon juice
  • Sprinkle of Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Finely chop all the ingredients.
  2. Add the mayonnaise and the rest of the ingredients to a bowl and mix well.
  3. Ensure that the tartare sauce is cold before serving.
Notes
Play around with the ingredients. Other things that could be used include fresh tarragon, chives, fresh dill, mustard, yoghurt, and I have even seen fresh olives used.
